Race and Pro-Social Involvement as Dimensions of Spiritual Development Presenter: Sean Gehrke (Coordinator), Whitman College Utilizing findings from a national study of Spirituality in Higher Education, this session will explore the complexities of spiritual change during college. The results of a study utilizing the Higher Education Research Institute's longitudinal dataset, which examined the impact of pro-social involvement on spiritual change for students from different racial/ethnic groups, will be presented as a framework for educators to better understand, as well as impact, spiritual growth in college students from different racial backgrounds. |
