COMPLIMENTARY ACPA MEMBERSHIP FOR FACULTY MEMBERS

ABOUT Faculty, Get To Know Us is designed to introduce faculty members to all that ACPA has to offer. It includes exposure to our commissions, standing committees, state/international divisions, professional development programs, and our culture of generating and disseminating knowledge.

Starting August 1, 2012, any faculty member who has never been an ACPA member or has not been an ACPA member since 2010, can register for a complimentary ACPA membership. This program welcomes new faculty, established faculty, and full-time student affairs professionals who teach in a graduate program.

BENEFITS From August 1 to December 15, 2012, faculty members who participate will receive:

• Electronic access to THE JOURNAL OF COLLEGE STUDENT DEVELOPMENT (JCSD) , weekly eCommunity, and quarterly issue of Developments ;
• Members-only rates to attend professional development events such as the upcoming Residential Curriculum Institute , Institute on Social Justice , and Leadership Educators Institute ; and
• Complimentary access to members-only publications such as The ASK Standards, Professional Competency Areas for Student Affairs Practioners and Toward A Sustainable Future: The Role of Student Affairs in Creating Healthy Environments, Social Justice, and Strong Economies.
• Commission for Professional Preparation: This commission addresses the professional development of student affairs teaching faculty through collaborative opportunities for networking, scholarship, and service in pursuit of preparing the next generations of student affairs professionals.
