PROGRAM STATEMENT

The SAHE program has been developed at Missouri State University to meet the staffing needs of colleges and universities throughout the nation.   The principal goal of the program is to develop reflective practitioners for the twenty-first century. You'll be up-to-date with the field because we stress current literature, technology and trends in higher education. Students will be able to apply your skills in supervised practice settings. SAHE master's degree candidates complete two semester-long practicums that give them an active role in an actual work environment. When you graduate with this degree, you will be prepared for a professional position in Student Affairs. You will be ready for a lifetime of success in higher education. Students will be taught by faculty who has experience in the field. Several members of the faculty in our program also hold administrative positions within Missouri State's Division of Student Affairs.
