Cynthia has been committed to ACPA for many years and has served as President, Vice President for State Divisions, and Member at Large. She is currently on the ACPA Educational Leadership Foundation Board of Trustees. She is founder and Professor Emeritus of the graduate program in Student Development at California State University Long Beach. She has also been on the graduate faculty of the University of Maryland, College Park and Teachers College - Columbia University. Prior to her teaching career, she held many administrative positions in Student Affairs including Director of Careers, student affairs, and Orientation.
