ACPA Bylaws Affirm Globalization As An Association Value
ACPA members overwhelming voted to change the language in the association's bylaws to reflect the growing internationalization of higher education. Key words like "tertiary" education (higher education in U.S.) and "student services" (in addition to student affairs) were added or replaced. Currently, ACPA members come from 21 different countries, and the leadership wants to be more inclusive and reflective of our growing membership from outside the U.S.

ACPA Supports Ending Native American Imagery As Sports Team Brand
ACPA passed a resolution to support eliminating the use of Native American mascots, logos, symbols and personalities by colleges, universities, and other sports-affiliated organizations. The purpose of this resolution affirms ACPA’s core values and supports healthier campus climates for all students, specifically Native American students. Read more.
Opportunity To Host 2014 Residential Curriculum Institute (RCI)
The Residential Curriculum Institute (RCI), co-sponsored by ACPA’s Commissions for Housing & Residential Life and Assessment & Evaluation, challenges participants to rethink the practices and grounding philosophies of their residential program. ACPA is currently seeking an institution to serve as a host for the 2014 RCI. Selection of the 2014 host institution will be made by the ACPA International Office with input from the Commission for Housing and Residential Life and the Commission for Assessment and Evaluation. Please submit your application by May 8, 2013.

Code of Ethics Consortium Committee
Nine student affairs associations have agreed to participate in The Code of Ethics Consortium Committee to discuss and review current ethic statements with the desire to determine if it is possible to produce a unifying Code of Ethics for the profession. Read more.
ACPA Innovation Grant Applications Are Now Available!
ACPA is pleased to announce the availability of grant funding to promote INNOVATION within our association through the exploration of new, novel approaches to our current practices. Innovation Grant Applications are now available online.
